Day 1:  Arrive Delhi

Welcome to the National Capital Territory of India, Situated over the west bank of the river Yamuna. On arrival at Delhi you are traditionally welcomed and our tour representative transfers you to the hotel. Freshen up and relax at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi / Amritsar

This morning travel to Amritsar by express train to Amritsar, a home to the religious building important to the Sikhs – Golden Temple, formally known as the Harmandir Sahib. Golden Temple is situated in the heart of Amritsar is visited by thousands of devotees every day. The city takes its name from the sacred pool – Amrit means nector and Sar means pool, founded by Guru Ram Das in 1574.On arrival check in hotel. Afternoon discover the cultural heart of Amritsar and the beautiful Golden Temple, the cultural and spiritual home of the Sikh religion, its domes took 880 lbs/400 kgs of gold leaf to be covered. Later visit the Jallianwala Bagh gardens and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Summer Palace Museum .Evening visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3:  Amritsar / Dharamsala (215 KM, estimated time 5 Hrs)

In the morning drive to Dharamsala through the mighty Himalayas. A scenic drive through the breathtaking views of the snow-laden mountains, exotic culture, quaint old monasteries and teeming with Buddhist nuns, brings you to the upper Dharamsala or popularly known as McLeodganj. The village of McLeodGanj, lying in the upper reaches, is known worldwide for the presence of the Dalai Lama and the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Town has a large Tibetan refugee settlement. In the evening see old Tibetan women in their traditional clothes tuning their prayer wheels, could well be in Tibet. On arrival check in hotel.

Day 4:  Dharamsala

This morning visit “Namgyal Monastery”, the Dalai Lama’s main Temple. It houses giant stucco statues of the Buddha, Avalokiteshwara and Padmasambhava. Later visit Bhagsunag Temple and the spectacular Bhagsunag waterfalls, St. John Church, an Anglican Church which is dedicated to Saint John. Head to Kangra Valley, famous for its picturesque beauty and wide variety of flora and fauna. Also visit the picturesque Dal Lake is a popular picnic spot situated amidst the hills and deodar trees. In the evening visit the famous Jwalamukhi Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of Light and you could stroll around the local market selling Tibetan exotica. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5:  Dharamsala / Manali

On this morning continue your journey by jeeps to Manali (2050 mt.). En-route visit Palampur, Known as the ‘Tea Capital of North India’, famous for its scenic beauty and tea gardens. . Today, Palampur tea has gained international recognition. Tibetan handicrafts, carpets and wooden handicrafts made in Palampur are also extremely famous. Visit the Shiva Temple at Baijnath, is a beautiful example of the early medieval north Indian temple architecture. The drive from Mandi till Manali (108 km) is all along the banks of beautiful Beas River. Manali is located at the high mountains with wild flowers, hamlets and fruit-laden orchards present the view of the sight, sound and smell, also known as the “Queen of Hill Stations”. Upon arrival check in to your hotel and stay overnight.

Day 6:  Manali

After having your breakfast ready for a sightseeing tour of Manali. There are a number of places to visit for you to experience a mesmerizing Manali Holiday package, popular places to visit in Manali include Hadimba Temple, a cave temple with excellent wooden carvings, special architecture with a four- tiered pagoda roof and is dedicated to Goddess Hadimba.Also visit old Manali, its old beautiful houses and ancient Manu Temple situated 3 kms from the main bazaar. In the evening take an excursion of Naggar sightseeing including Rohriech Art Gallery, the paintings of the famous Russian artist are exhibited here and Naggar Castle the beautiful site has three old shrines, which gives a captivating view of the upper Kullu valley. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 7: Manali / Keylong

Early this morning drive over the Rohtang Pass (3980m) to Keylong. En-route stops at Rohtang Pass, Which offers a spectacular mountain view and there are beautiful sights of glaciers, peaks and Chandra River flows down in the Lahaul valley. On arrival at Keylong check in to your hotel. The lady of Keylong is an amazing rock feature full of green fields and willow trees, water streams surrounded with brown hills and snow covered peak. Keylong is the place where heavy snowfall is happened every year. Later visit the Shashur Gompa (Monastery), three kilometers from Keylong, dedicated to Lama Gotsang of Zanskar.Also see the famous five meter thangka (prayer flag) in the region. Overnight stay will be at your hotel.

Day 8:  Keylong / Sarchu Early

Morning after breakfast continue drive to Sarchu through the Darcha village, on the Bhaga River in Lahaul. This place is the gateway for the trekking to Lahaul, Spiti, Pangi and in winter it is the only way to Zanskar valleys. The road from Darcha to Baralacha La (4892m) goes through Zing-Zing Bar and the sky blue Suraj Tal Lake or the lake of the Sun God, one of the most enthralling and amazingly beautiful lakes in the country. A holy dip in the waters of the lake is said to absolve one of all sins. On arrival check in at camp at Sarchu. Sarchu is the very open place on the bank of the Bhaga River. Sarchu is the last border point between Himachal and Ladakh. Evening free to walk around in Sarchu. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 9:  Sarchu / Leh

Today’s drive to Leh is the capital of Ladakh, lies nestled among low hills on the north side of the Indus Valley, between the Stok Mountains to the south and the Ladakh Range to the north, is quite interesting with an incredible 20 kms of switchback road including a spine-tingling 21 loops of hairpin bends. After covering this stretch you cross the second highest pass on this road Lachlangla (5060m). You stop at Pang for lunch. Continue your drive and see the terrain changing. You cross the highest pass on this road Tanglangla (5378m). The road Manali to Leh is the world’s second highest motorable road, reaching an elevation of 5378m at Tanglangla Pass. Further drive to Leh, also known as Little Tibet. On arrival check in hotel.

Day 10:  Leh

This morning proceed for sightseeing of Sankar Gompa, famous for its traditional architectural style and has a statue of Avalokitesvara having 1,000 heads and arms, Leh Palace, was constructed by King Sengge Namgyal during the 17th century, the royal family living in this palace to move to the famous Stok Palace and Namgyal Tsemo, constructed by King Tashi Namgyal of the Namgyal dynasty. In the afternoon visit Spituk Monastery, also called as Spituk Gompa, standing majestically on top of a hillock overlooking the Indus Valley. It was built in the 15th century and houses a collection of ancient masks antique arms, icons and thangkas. There is a famous Mahakal temple, containing the shrine of Vajrabhairava situated at the top of the hill Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Leh

Early this morning embark on a full day excursion to a popular Buddhist Monastery the Thikse Monastery where you will see the early Morning Prayer ceremony. This 12 story-monastery complexes contains numerous stupas, statues, thangkas, wall paintings, swords and a large pillar engraved with the Buddha’s teachings. The monastery remains crowded during the Thiksey festival, which is celebrated at a grand level. Later visit Hemis monastery the most important and the richest monastery in Ladakh.Where you can see beautiful wall paintings that depict the ‘Kalachakra’ and the ‘Lords of the Four Quarters’. There is a fabulous idol of Sakyamuni Buddha inside the monastery. On the way back visit Shey monastery or Shey Palace was the royal residence in the I6th century, Famous for its huge copper and gilded gold statue of Shakyamuni Buddha. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 12:  Leh

Full day at leisure or you can visit some other beautiful places like Jama Masjid, Sun Temple, Suru Valley and Stok Palace is the residential palace of the royal family etc.You can also explore the local bazaar of Leh. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 13:  Leh / Delhi

Fly back to Delhi. If time allow you can explore the Chandni Chock, the Asia’s largest wholesale market. Late in the evening you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
