The Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is a luxury tourist train run by Indian Railways. This luxury train tour takes you to several important tourist, wildlife and heritage sites across Rajasthan.The train takes you on a 7-day/8-night tour through Rajasthan, Varnasi in U.P. and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh central India. The train starts from New Delhi's Safdarjung railway station goes to Jodhpur, Udaipur and Chittaurgarh, Ranthambore National Park, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Varanasi, Sarnath , Agra and back to Delhi. Some of the most popular tourist attractions covered are Hawa Mahal, Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Ranthambhor National Park, Chittaurgarh Fort, Lake Palace, Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Agra Fort and the most populart tourist attraction in India Taj Mahal.
Day 1: Sunday – Depart Delhi (Check-in at 4:00PM Departure 9:00PM) Welcome to the capital city of India Delhi. Upon arrival our representative will receive you with the ceremonial greetings at the Safdarjung Station with traditional aarti and tika with garlanding and some mock tails to refresh your selves and escort to the respective cabins where you can relax and unwind before your Rajasthan tour. There are a lot of attractions in New Delhi, which include temples, mosques and some world heritage sites. Some of the main ones are as; Red fort, India gate, Jama masjid, Humanyun’s tomb etc. Thereafter, you will be driven straight to Jodhpur.
Day 2: Monday – Jodhpur (Arrive at 08:00 AM Departure 4:30 PM) On arrival Jodhpur, you will check into Hotel. Have breakfast on board and proceed to explore the Sun City of Rajasthan, Jodhpur. It is one of the largest city of Rajasthan, known as the blue city because of most of the buildings here, are painted blue. First visit the fascinating Mehrangarh Fort, is one of the largest forts in India, includes, includes The Moti Mahal or the Pearl Palace, Phool Mahal – The Palace of Flowers. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the fabulous 5 star hotel. You can also visit Jaswant Thada, Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Clock Tower and Old City Markets etc. Have your dinner on board and drive for Udaipur – the City of Lake & Palaces.
Day 3: Tuesday – Udaipur (Arrival 07:00 AM Departure 2:30 PM) After arriving at Udaipur. Have your breakfast onboard and enjoy a boat ride on the Lake Pichola, one of the largest lake of Udaipur. In Udaipur you’ll find gardens and temples at every turn. Udaipur is known as the ‘Venice of the East’, has a number of famous attractions, the impressive ‘Lake Palace’, has been mentioned one of the most romantic and stunning places. Visit the beautiful City Palace Complex, belonging to the Mewar royal family. Some Other attractive places to visit in Udaipur are Bagore Ki Haveli, the best one is Ambrai Ghat, especially at sunset, Jagdish temple, Shilpgram and after lunch visit the crystal gallery and spend some time in stores for selling everything from artwork to jewellery and clothing to leather goods. After the visit of The City of Lakes, proceed to Chittorgarh.
Day 3: Tuesday – Chittorgarh (Arrival 4:45 PM Departure 10:00 PM) Welcome to the one of the ancient cities Chittorgarh, a capital city to the Sisodia group of Rajputs families of Mewar, located on the Berach River. This place is quite popular amongst the tourists all round the world due to its historical as well as cultural values. Explore the main tourist attractions of Chittorgarh: the Fort of Chittorgarh and the victory tower or Vijay Stambh , the Kumbha Shyam Temple is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu.Also see the Gaumukh reservoir & the palace of queen Padmini. Enjoy the light & sound program at the fort. Have your dinner on board and enjoy the cultural program at Hotel.
Day 4: Wednesday – Sawai Modhupur (Arrival 05:30 AM Departure 9:30 AM) After arriving Sawai Modhupur , Located in the eastern part of Rajasthan between the Aravallis and Vindhaya Range. Have your breakfast on board or at Hotel. Sawai Madhopur is popular for its wonderful Ranthambore National Park, which is a major Project Tiger reserve. Ranthambore National Park is a fine mixture of grasslands, hills and dense greenery. Where you can see the animals including leopards, wild pigs, nilgais, sambar and chital, as well as a great variety of birds. Later Proceed to visit the Ranthambore Fort and the Amareshwar Mohadeo temple. Have lunch on board and depart for Jaipur.
Day 4: Wednesday – Jaipur (Arrival 11:30 AM Departure 10:15 PM) On arrival at Jaipur, you are welcome by caparisoned elephants & sweet music of the auspicious ‘Shehnai’.Check in hotel. This beautiful pink city is one of historical cities and also the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur is a fascinating city with its romantic charm takes you to an era of royalty and tradition. Watch the awesome ‘Hawa Mahal’ (the palace of winds) and the Jal Mahal located in the middle of the Mansagar Lake. Later visit Birla Temple of Jaipur looks incredible, when it is splendidly illuminate in the night and the amazing Jantar Mantar. After lunch enjoy the elephants ride at amber fort and visit the city palace residence of the previous maharaja of Jaipur. In the evening explore the bazaars of Jaipur famous for Rajasthan jewelry & other items. Have dinner at Hotel with cultural program.
Day 5: Thursday – Khajuraho (Arrival 10:00 AM Departure 8:00 PM) Breakfast on board. On arrival, explore the capital of the Chandela kings, Khajuraho, famous for the large group of medieval Hindu and Jain temples, dating back to the 9th to 12th centuries. The temple city of central India is famous throughout the world for its beautiful erotic carvings of the Kama Sutra. Visit the Group of Temples of Khajuraho, which are designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. After lunch visit the museum of Khajuraho and Panna National Park are beautiful place to visit in Khajuraho. In the evening enjoy the Sound & Light show at the Western Group of Temples. Returns to the train for proceed to Varanasi, dinner on board.
Day 6: Friday – Varanasi (Arrival 06:00 AM Departure 9:00 PM) Varanasi is the spiritual capital of India, located at the bank of river Ganga. Varanasi is the oldest and holiest city of the Hindu world and Buddhists, filled with temples, silk weaving, Ghats, which makes attraction of the tourist. In Varanasi, visit the many temples like the Jyotirlinga Visvanatha temple or Golden Temple was rebuilt in 1776, The Jnana Vapi well (meaning “well of wisdom”) and The Ganga Ghats (river front), are the most popular pilgrimage spot of Varanasi. After lunch at Hotel visit the Buddhist temples at Sarnath, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Also visit the museum with a superb collection of Buddhist art. In the evening, proceed towards the Dashashwamedh Ghat for the evening Maha Aarti rite along the Ganges River. Dinner on board.
Day 7: Saturday – Agra (Arrival 10:00 AM Departure 11:00 PM) Breakfast on board. Agra- the city of seventh wonder on the earth is situated on the banks of Yamuna River was founded by Sultan Sikandar Lodi. Agra is a vibrant centre of culture, art & religious philosophies, and is famous for handicrafts products such as Inlay work on marvel, leather work, footwear, brass-wear, carpets, Jewellery, Zari & embroidery work. After lunch at hotel visit Agra Fort a momentary of the royal Mughal lifestyle, include various notable buildings like Pearl Mosque, the Diwan-e-Am and Diwan –a –Khas and Mehtab Bagh, Sri Mankeshwar Temple most notably and one of the seven wonders in the world, the Taj Mahal, a mausoleum of Shahjahan’s beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. Dinner on board.
Day 8: Sunday – Delhi (Arrival 04:00 AM Check out time 07:30 AM) Have breakfast on board and proceed to checkout, concluding your Rajasthan Tour.
