Day 1: Wed – Delhi

Depart from Delhi Safdarjung Railway station and travel India on board the Palace-on-Wheels for a week-long Rajasthan tour.

Day 2: Thu – Jaipur (Arrival 3.45 AM Departure 11.30 PM)

Welcome to the magical city Jaipur, it is one of the beautiful historical cities in Rajasthan and also the capital of Rajasthan. Jaipur has a lot to offer to visitor like Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, Birla Temple of Jaipur looks incredible, when it is splendidly illuminate in the night and followed by the amazing Jantar Mantar-Astronomical Observatory which is to be explored at leisure, also learn about Hindu-Rajput and Islamic-Mughal styles of architecture on guided visits to the Jal Mahal located in the middle of the Mansagar Lake, looks like an iceberg and proceed to have lunch at Amber For, this beautiful fort is famous for its awesome glory, surroundings, battles and stunning palaces, halls, gardens, and temples. Day 3: Fri – Sawai Madhopur (Arrival 5.30 AM Departure 10.30 AM)

Sawai Madhopur or the Tiger City is one of the best destinations to explore wildlife sanitary. Located between the Aravallis and Vindhaya Range, Sawai Madhopur is popular for its wonerful Ranthambore National Park, which is a major Project Tiger reserve. The park has a beautiful landscape which is watered by the Banas and Chambal rivers. The jungles are a fine mixture of grasslands, hills and dense greenery. You can also view other animals including leopards, wild pigs, nilgais, sambar and chital, as well as a great variety of birds. Also explore the Ranthambore Fort is one of the oldest in Rajasthan, located securely at a viewpoint of 250 meters above the forested valley, here you can enjoy splendid views of the entire region. Proceed to have lunch before arriving to Chittorgarh. Friday- Chittorgarh (Arrival 4.00 PM Departure 2.00 AM) Chittorgarh is in the southern part of Rajasthan, located on the Berach River, a capital city to the Sisodia group of Rajputs families of Mewar for a long time. The district is a magnificent tourist destination for its huge fortress and has witnessed of the famous tale of Queen Padmini’s act of jauhar that attract the tourist. There are a lot of places to see in Chittaurgarh as this city blessed with a number of attractions. Chittorgarh Fort is mentioned as the largest fort of India, where the palaces in the fort are considered as masterpieces and at one time residences for royalty. The Rana Kumbha’s Palace,it is situated within the building of the Chittaurgarh Fort. The Kumbha Shyam Temple is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu. The city of Chittaurgarh is an ideal place to spend a vacation. After the visit of this royal city, proceed to Udaipur.

Day 4: Sat – Udaipur (Arrival 8.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM)

The romantic City of Rajasthan situated in the Lap of Nature & Culture, Udaipur. It is a beautiful place all around the world, blessed with beautiful monuments, museum, gardens Temples & Wonderful heritage. Udaipur is known as the ‘Venice of the East’, has a number of famous attractions, the impressive ‘Lake Palace’, has been mentioned one of the most romantic and stunning places. The Pichola Lake is the oldest and one of the largest lakes of Udaipur, where you will find the seemingly floating Ireland Palace, offering a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Two island palaces, Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) on the lake are incredible. Once you have finished their wander down to the City Place, which makes an impression on its sheer size and spectacular views out over Pichola Lake. Saheliyon-ki-Bari, a small decorated garden has many fountains in its four beautiful pools, chiseled kiosks and marble elephants. Fateh Sagar a delightful lake has Nehru Park In the middle -a beautiful garden island with a boat shaped café attainable by an entertaining boat ride. Now take to the streets and spend time in stores for selling everything from artwork to jewellery and clothing to leather goods. After the visit of The City of Lakes, proceed to Jaisalmer. Day 5: Sun – Jaisalmer (Arrival 9.15 AM Departure 11.45 PM) Welcome to the “Golden City of India”, Jaisalmer is located in the midst of the Great Indian Desert or Thar Desert. Jaisalmer is a picturesque marvel of the beautiful yellow sand bestows a yellowish-golden shade to the city and its surrounding area, offering an ancient history linked with its development as a trading center.Jaisamler is full fill with art, architecture, culture and heritage which are stunning,like Jaisalmer fort ,this “Golden Fort”, universally known as the ‘Sonar quila’ and is one of the most magnificent monuments in the history,with full of attractions like Raj Mahal (Royal palace), Laxminath temple,and Jain temples and Patwon Ji ki Haveli is an attractive piece of Architecture which is made yellow sandstone. Enjoy shopping in the market of Jaisalmer where you will find mirror work, jewellery and footwear and lunch at the Moomal Hotel. You will then back in the romance of peace at Kuldhara where you will enjoy a camel safari that takes you deep in the desert that will give you an unforgettable experience of the sunset at honey -golden Desert. Finally, enjoy folk music of this desert area is a beautiful mixture of traditions and classical music and puppets shows which gives you a taste of the desert life and then a campfire with dinner in the dunes and proceed to Jhodpur.

Day 6: Mon- Jodhpur (Arrival 7.00 AM Departure 3.30 PM)

Welcome to the ’blue city’ and one of the largest city of Rajasthan, Jodhpur, this is known as the blue city because of most of the buildings here, are painted blue. Jodhpur – the center of the fierce rathore gens. The ancient city is surrounded by a 10 km long wall, which has 101 fortification and seven gates.Explor the massive fort followed by lunch at beautiful Umaid Bhawan Palace which is the world’s finest and largest palace in the world. Mehrangarh Fort is the most spectacular fort in Jodhpur, the attractions of Mehrangarh Fort, includes The Moti Mahal or the Pearl Palace, Phool Mahal – The Palace of Flowers. The Jaswant Thada is an historical monument located to the left of the Mehrangarh fort. It is an awesome masterpiece made up of white marble built by Maharaja Sardar Singh. After visiting this amazing creation, proceed to go shopping at some of the local handicraft stores, and after lunch, return to the Palace on Wheels to have dinner on board.

Day 7: Tue – Bharatpur (Arrival 5.00 AM Departure 8.45 AM)

Arrive at Bharatpur – The ‘Eastern Gateway to Rajasthan’, was founded by Maharaja Suraj Mal. The place was named as Bharatpur after the name of Bharat, the brother of Lord Rama, whose other brother Laxman was worshipped as the family deity of the Bharatpur. This beautiful garden city, the gardens have been laid with great care and precision, the sparkling fountains and wonderful palaces add the beauty of this picturesque of Bharatpur. The tourists enjoy the pleasant settings of this agricultural town, along with the well maintained palace pavilions and gardens. Proceed to The Keoladeo Ghana National Park, one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the world and the paradise for the bird lovers. It is finest park in the world to provide protection to all the species – flora and fauna. The major attractions in the Bharatpur bird sanctuary are migratory birds, who fly from places as far as Siberia and Central Asia, especially during the winters and also visit Bharatpur Lake, the beautiful lake in the park’s complex not only attracts the tourists but also the birds Later, arrive at Agra and visit the world’s most romantic monument, well worth its fame, The Taj Mahal, considered one of the world’s greatest monument to love. This World Heritage site is an architectural masterpiece created by Emperor Shah Jahan as a testament for his love for his wife Mumtaz Muhal. Continue by road across the Yumuna River to see the red sandstone Agra Fort, and after dinner, return to the Palace on Wheels proceeds to Delhi.

Day 8: Wed – Delhi (Arrival 04.00 hrs)

Arrive at Delhi Safdarjung Railway station. Breakfast on board take a look of massive Red fort and India Gate and let the pleasant memories of the past week linger on your mind for a long, long time.
